AFPL – Corporate Website & Product Platform

Techtonic built the corporate website and content platform for AFPL (Anandmayee Forgings Pvt. Ltd.), a forging component manufacturer serving Oil & Gas, Defence, Railways, Power, Construction, and Automotive industries - giving a technical, standards-driven manufacturer a web presence that matches the precision of what they produce.

The Challenge

Industrial manufacturers selling into regulated sectors (defence, oil & gas, power) face a specific set of requirements - the website has to establish technical credibility fast, surface a large and varied product range without overwhelming the visitor, and stay easy for a non-technical marketing team to update as products, certifications, and clients change. Core requirements included:

  • A site structure that could carry a wide product catalogue (flanges, valves, automotive forgings, custom components) without becoming a maze
  • Clear presentation of quality systems, in-house testing, and standards compliance (ISO, API, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, DIN) - the trust signals a buyer in these industries actually checks for
  • A content backend the AFPL team could manage directly - new products, client logos, certifications - without going back to a developer for every update
  • Fast page loads and clean SEO fundamentals so the site could be found by procurement teams researching suppliers
  • Migrating off a legacy WordPress website that suffered from slow page load times and rigid design constraints.

The Solution

1. UI/UX Design: Techtonic designed the site from scratch - wireframes through final visual design - built around how a procurement engineer or technical buyer actually evaluates a supplier: specifications and standards compliance up front, product range organised by category rather than buried in a single long page, and quality/certification proof positioned where a buyer would look for it rather than treated as an afterthought.

2. Frontend: The design was built out in Next.js, prioritising fast page loads and clean, crawlable pages - important for a B2B manufacturer whose traffic comes largely from search and direct supplier research rather than paid or social channels.

3. Backend: Content is managed through Strapi, a headless CMS, giving AFPL's team direct control over products, client listings, certifications, and careers postings without needing developer involvement for routine updates.

4. Structure-First Approach: Given the breadth of AFPL's product range and the technical nature of the audience, information architecture was treated as the core design problem from wireframe stage onward - organising products, quality documentation, and client proof into a structure a procurement engineer can navigate quickly, rather than a marketing-led layout that buries the technical detail.

Key Features Delivered

  • Full product catalogue across AFPL's forging categories (flanges, valves, automotive components, custom/precision forgings)
  • Dedicated Quality & Testing section covering in-house testing, third-party inspection, and standards compliance
  • Client and industry-application showcase
  • Careers section with direct application routing
  • Strapi-managed content across products, clients, and certifications - editable without developer support
  • SEO-friendly, fast-loading Next.js frontend built for organic discoverability

Design Highlights

  • Technical credibility over decoration - visual design and layout favour clear specification and standards information over stylised marketing copy, appropriate for an engineering and procurement audience
  • Wireframed around buyer behaviour - page flow was mapped before visual design started, so product detail, quality proof, and contact paths sit where a technical buyer expects them rather than where they look best
  • Industrial, not generic corporate - visual language (imagery, colour, typography) designed to reflect a precision manufacturing business rather than a templated agency look
  • Content team autonomy - Strapi's editor experience lets AFPL update products and certifications independently, keeping the site current without ongoing developer dependency
  • Built for a long product tail - catalogue structure designed to scale as AFPL adds new product lines, rather than needing a rebuild each time
