We developed DRRIS, the Dynamic Risk-Reduction & Response Information System, a comprehensive tool to aid disaster preparedness, response, and assessment. The system integrates modules for early warning, post-disaster damage & needs assessment, and emergency communication.
Our Role
- System Architecture & Development – Backend built in PHP, with frontend/mobile components in React Native.
- UI/UX & Interface Design – Designed intuitive and accessible interfaces for field users and administrators.
- Module Integration – Implemented Go-Risk (pre-disaster alert), RNR-Comm (relief & assessment), and Emergency Contacts.
- Security & Data Accuracy – Ensured role-based access, secure data handling, and robust validation of hazard inputs.
Key Features Delivered
- Go-Risk Module: Early warning tool using grassroots measurement grids, raising alerts based on hazard thresholds.
- RNR-Comm Module: Post-disaster damage & needs assessment tracking by age, gender, location to guide relief.
- Emergency Contacts Directory: Alerts and contact details for local responders and control rooms.
- Dashboard & Reporting: Insights for administrators to view status and coordinate response efforts.
Outcome
The DRRIS system empowers Pragya and local authorities to monitor risks, respond quicker, and coordinate relief with data-driven insights. It enhances situational awareness, improves resource deployment, and strengthens disaster resilience at community levels.
